Support in Difficult Times, letter from the president

While this year has certainly been different, we have been encouraged with the support we have received from our parents and community with our fundraising and other efforts to support YPAS.  We still need your help with meeting our financial support goals and will be sending out information on a number of programs we are planning.  Also, I would like to extend our gratitude to the teachers and administrators at YPAS for their hard work under difficult circumstances.  We have seen many exciting and creative ideas in each of our majors that have allowed the education and development of our students to continue despite the obstacles we face.

With the possibility of returning to school on the horizon, we do ask everyone to take steps to minimize the spread of COVID and keep our community numbers in the range where live instruction can commence.  Upon the return to school, there will be even more opportunities for each of our members to volunteer and help with YPAS programs.  We look forward to the day when we can resume meeting face to face and enjoy the performances of our talented students.  But in the meantime, we can enjoy the creative ways they are learning to use technology to further their artistic endeavors - skills that they will be able to use wherever their journeys take them.  As always, if you have questions, ideas, or comments, feel free to reach out to any of the Board Members.  Thanks, and stay safe. -Phil Martin
