Letter from the President, Phil Martin

Updated: Sep 13, 2020

On behalf of the Producers, welcome to the 2020-21 school year at YPAS.  This promises to be a year unlike any other, and while there will be many challenges for students, teachers, staff, and parents there are still many opportunities for growth in these difficult times.  The YPAS faculty and staff are working diligently to give the best learning and developmental experience they can.  We all hope we can get back to in-person school in a safe manner as soon as possible.  Whatever the circumstances, we at the Producers are committed to providing the assistance to make this year a success.

To ensure the best outcome, we will need the support of our parents, family and friends.  The arts have been globally affected by the pandemic, and our organization is no different.  Nearly all of the revenue streams that have traditionally supported the Producers and YPAS have been eliminated or greatly reduced.  We are working on alternatives, and will need your support in those efforts.  If you can donate to the effort to help us bridge the gap, we are part of the Give for Good campaign on September 17, 2020 and it is a great opportunity for you to give to a cause that supports the arts generally and your students specifically.  Please follow our social media so you can stay apprised of developments.  If you have ideas or other opportunities we should explore, please reach out.  We look forward to working with each of you and we will get through this.
